Juiced Bikes have been around for many years and are a reliable, well-known California-based e-bike brand. If you’re in the market for an e-bike, you’ve likely come across Juiced Bikes and wondered if they’re worth the investment.
Juiced Bikes are good because they offer affordable, high-quality electric bikes with long-lasting 52-volt batteries. They also have an average charge of 50 miles (80 km). You can choose between moped-style, fat tire, commuter, and adventure electric bikes. Each style offers speeds up to 30 MPH (48 kph).
In this article, I’ll give you a detailed brand review of Juiced Bikes, including their pros and cons, some general details about the e-bikes, and more. I’ll also address some commonly asked questions about the brand, its bikes, and what you should know before buying one.
Pros and Cons of Juiced Bikes
Juiced Bikes are generally quite good and have very few downsides. They’re known for their mechanical innovation, power delivery (with speeds up to 28 mph), reasonable prices, high-quality components, and mid-tier features, making them great for e-bike enthusiasts of all levels.
While their cons are relatively minor, it’s always good to know the ups and downs of an electric bike before investing in one.
Without further ado, let’s jump into the pros and cons:
Pros (Reasons to Buy)
Its e-bikes come with larger batteries than other brands in the same price range. Most comparable e-bikes offer 36V or 48V batteries, but Juiced comes with a 52V battery. The large batteries make them more powerful and long-lasting.
Juiced Bikes claims their e-bikes can go up to 100 miles (161 km) per battery charge. Most Juiced Bikes manage 50 miles (80 km) per charge, but that’s still far more than most competing brands. The mileage can change based on pedaling speed, pack weight, terrain, and more.
Juiced Support offers excellent customer service from experienced cyclists. You can contact them via a phone number, email address, or a customer service ticket on their website. Juiced Bikes headquarters are in San Diego, California.
Each fat tire e-bike comes with puncture-resistant tires. These durable tires are designed to handle ever-changing terrain, including dirt, mud, rocks, asphalt, and more. The company offers multiple warranty options for mechanical and electrical parts as well.
Juiced Bikes come with many customization options. They can be modified according to each rider’s needs, so you can use many e-bike accessories to enhance your Juiced Bike.
The Juiced brand offers both a cadence and a torque sensor on their e-bikes. This allows pedal assist to feel effortless and offers you a smooth ride.
Advanced Display. You can improve your riding performance and overall experience with the extensive functionality of their advanced LCD display.
Juiced Bikes uses Tektro hydraulic disc brakes and a suspension fork. These improve comfort and help you stop smoothly and safely, also saving wear and tear on your tires.
These electric bikes come with additional perks. These include a rear rack and fenders, a USB charging port, a bright headlight, and an integrated brake light with turn signals.
Cons (Reasons Not to Buy)
The battery weighs more than expected, which could negatively affect the stability and maneuverability of the electric bike. Not only do the batteries weigh up to 20 pounds (9.1 kg) in some models, but they’re also quite bulky and awkward to handle.
Some models are super heavy. The Scorpion models weigh around 100 lbs, while the dual-battery HyperScrambler is 119 lbs.
Keep in mind that the user experience changes based on the model. For example, the moped-style Juiced Bike can’t navigate difficult terrain as easily as their adventure model, the HyperScrambler.
Different models might have more specific advantages and disadvantages, so it’s always better to research your preferred model.
What Types of E-Bikes Do Juiced Bikes Have?
Juiced Bikes carries a wide variety of electric bike styles. They manufacture powerful commuter, fat tire, moped-style, and cargo e-bikes at low to mid-range prices. Each model has a top speed of 28 mph or more, some offer off-road capabilities, and others have step-through frames.
Here’s a list of each primary electric bike model:
Juiced Bikes last between 33 to 100 miles (53 to 161 km) per charge. Their batteries last between three to five years, but the whole e-bike is covered by a one-year warranty. The Bafang motor can work for up to ten years, which is the average time it’s supposed to last.
The shelf-life of an e-bike depends on multiple factors. Anything from weather to rough terrain could affect the electric bike’s life.
Here are five factors that affect how long a Juiced Bike lasts:
Rain can damage any e-bike, including a Juiced Bike. While you can ride electric bikes in the rain, you shouldn’t store them outside when exposed to the elements.
The battery life depends on how fast you pedal and ride. Slower speeds require less power, so each charge will let you go further. The company explained that a Class 3 Juiced Bike at race track speeds (maxing the speed at 28 mph) could last as little as 33 miles (53 km).
The terrain impacts how long the tires, battery, and Bafang motor will work. For example, cruising on flat pavement is less damaging than riding over roots, rocks, and mud. Smooth, flat terrain will bring you closer to the 70-100 mile (113-160 km) limit.
The ambient temperature changes how long a Juiced Bike’s battery lasts. The brand claims its batteries work more efficiently in warm weather, around 80°F (27°C). Colder temperatures will deplete its batteries faster.
Constant strain from wind, elevation changes, and rider weight can affect the electric bike’s longevity. Riding against the wind or uphill with a heavy pack can limit the e-bike’s potential. Juiced ebikes claim their mileage estimates assume the rider is on a semi-smooth surface with slight increases in elevation (and using a low to mid-range pedal assist level).
What Motors Do Juiced Bikes Use?
Juiced Bikes use 750-watt and 1,000-watt motors, making them some of the most powerful within their price range. They also offer high-end motors that go up to 1,800 peak watts, though that’s not the standard option. The 750-watt motor peaks at an impressive 1,300 watts.
One of the main reasons Juiced has bigger rear hub motors is that they need to pull a lot of power from the 52V battery to get up to 28 mph. Pairing a low-end hub motor with a large battery just wastes the potential of both. Thankfully, the company pairs both components without increasing the price by much, keeping their electric bikes in the affordable range.
What To Know Before Getting a Juiced Bike
Before getting a Juiced Bike, you should know the following details:
They use hydraulic disc brakes. These braking systems are more efficient than traditional mechanical disc brakes. They require less pressure, so you can stop sooner without wearing down your tires. Plus, hydraulic brakes lead to a smoother stop.
Juiced Bikes was founded by Tora Harris, a former Olympian and Princeton University graduate, in California in 2009. If you’re looking for a company that knows about e-bikes and can offer expert advice, Juiced should be at the top of your list.
They’re also designed with modifications in mind. You can attach smartphones, additional headlights, panniers, and other e-bike accessories. Furthermore, the company offers battery upgrades, making the stock battery interchangeable, and tire upgrades without voiding the warranty.
Each Juiced Bike includes a one-year mechanical warranty, a one-year electrical warranty, and a 14-day money-back guarantee. These warranties are limited manufacturer agreements that ensure you won’t have to pay for any defects.
Juiced Bikes uses beginner-friendly features with expert-level results. For example, the simple three-button LCD display lets you check the battery life, speed, and more. The screens also have adjustable brightness settings, letting you view them while cycling at night.
All of their bikes can be customized with upgrades for new batteries, controllers, headlights, tires, and high-speed charging ports. The customization options allow you to modify your e-bike according to your own needs without spending much on expensive upgrades.
You also no longer have to purchase separate warranties, as they come with each purchase.
Final Thoughts
Whether you prefer their long battery life, their speed limits of 28 mph, or their unique designs, Juiced Bikes are an excellent choice for beginners and experts alike. The weight issues might be a slight drawback, but they’re overshadowed by their electric bikes’ overall performance, 5 pedal assist levels, and capacity for customization.
Wish you had an electric bike that does it all? Today, I’m introducing the revamped and reimagined Heybike Mars 2.0 – an affordable folding e-bike for demanding riders!
In this Heybike Mars 2 Review, I’ll show you why the newest addition to Heybike is not just another cool-looking ebike with fat tires that folds up for storage and travel. After test-riding it, I discovered it has much more to offer.
Introduction to Heybike Mars 2.0
For starters, the Mars 2 electric bike (best price on Amazon) has unique features that upgrade it from Heybike’s original bestselling Mars model. Not only does it have more power, greater speed, a longer range, and a higher maximum payload, it has other unique features worth checking out.
In this e-bike review, we’ll take a look at the advantages of the Mars 2 electric bike and its cargo and folding bike performance. Then, I’ll point out one disadvantage that might put it on the chopping block!
Advantages of the Heybike Mars 2
So, what are the advantages of the Heybike Mars 2? I have lots to show you. And, watch for a feature that I think is both practical and fun!
Upgraded 1200 Watt Peak Rear Hub Motor
With an already powerful 750-watt motor, the Mars 2 is simply out of the universe when it hits its peak output of 1200W. Honestly, I didn’t ever use the highest pedal assist level for more than a few seconds, just to test it out… it was already screaming fast.
Higher Torque
The hub motor performance, combined with 80 Newton Meters of torque, ensures this ebike is capable of reaching its top speed of 28 mph. Let me clarify… this 20-inch tire electric bike takes off fast! And I easily sped up to 20 mph on long climbs and steep hills.
Adjustable Handlebar
Raise the handlebar to your desired height. Doing so improves the fit and comfort of the Mars 2 for different riders.
Compact Folding
The Mars 2 folds up easily within seconds, which makes it perfect to take with you on your travels and store in a small space.
Fat Tires with Fenders
On a folding electric bike, there’s really nothing better than 4-inch fat tires. You can take the Mars with you everywhere. Drive it to an off-road trail, pop it in your camper van, or take it for a spin on a long, leisurely bike path. On my off-road test ride, the knobby tires gave me a smooth and stable ride without slipping on loose dirt and rocks.
Spring Suspension Fork
Front suspension with 65mm travel is definitely a benefit for off-road riding on the affordable Mars 2 (Amazon). It lessened the impact of jolts and bumps, making for a pretty comfortable ride on rough terrain and paved roads. The suspension includes preload adjustment and lock-out.
And, finally, here’s what makes the Mars 2.0 stand out from other foldable electric bikes.
Enhanced Rear Rack
I love the functionality of this unique rear rack. Not only does the rack itself support up to 120 lbs of cargo, but the expanded rack length facilitates the attachment of large bags, baskets, or passenger seating.
Plus, the pegboards on each side are tailored for optimal storage solutions. Effortlessly arrange essentials such as panniers, water bottles, and bike locks with convenience.
First, like all high-speed ebikes, the Mars 2 may be faster than you prefer.
But the only real disadvantage of the Heybike Mars 2 surprised me a bit. The Mars 2.0, weighing 75 lbs, is notably heavier than its Mars predecessor, weighing 66 lbs. Adding a longer and more functional rack would undoubtedly add weight. However, this might pose challenges for riders looking for a lightweight e-bike experience.
What You Need to Know (Before You Buy)
If you’re a short or tall rider, listen up. The suggested height range is 5’3” to 6’1”. However, this is the first ebike that I’m comfortable riding even though I’m 2 inches shorter than what’s recommended. Keep in mind that it could be a struggle to get on the bike if you’re carrying cargo.
Or, if you’re over 6 feet, you may find the Mars 2 frame too small. In this case, the original Mars e-bike fits riders up to 6’3”. I’ve included links to the options in the description below.
Additional Features (Add Value)
There are several other important features on the $1499 Mars 2.0 (check here for the current price). There’s a Shimano 7-speed shifter, 5 levels of pedal assist, a right-hand thumb throttle, and an LED headlight, taillight, and display.
Further, the 600-watt-hour lithium-ion battery offers up to 45 miles of riding, which is pretty average. Most riders won’t need more than this on a single battery charge.
Finally, check out the Heybike app for iOS and Android. It’s able to synchronize with your ride, tracking details such as distance, speed, battery charge, and calories.
Is the Heybike Mars 2.0 the Best Ebike?
If you want an electric folding bike that doubles as a cargo e-bike, then the Mars 2.0 is a great e-bike for you! Its cargo space and attachment options make it suitable for bikepacking, camping, or even road-tripping.
Further, if power and speed are on the top of your checklist, this Heybike does the job easily.
However, it might not be the best electric bike for you if you don’t want or need so much power or would have an easier time managing a step-through e-bike. And, if you need to be able to lift it yourself, make sure you are fully capable without risking injury.
Heybike(Conclusion)
A little about the Heybike brand… it offers a 30-day trial and a 1-year all-inclusive warranty on any of its electric bikes.
What’s important to know is that the new Heybike Mars 2.0 is a great value for its price and a huge upgrade from its predecessor. It can meet the needs of any rider dreaming of power, speed, and extra cargo capacity all in a folding electric bike.
You’ve spent a good deal of cash on your electric bike already, so it’s totally natural that you’d want to save as much money as possible on extra gear, maybe even doing without it. But you don’t have to break the bank to get what you need.

Your e-biking experience will be fun and safer when you can see what’s behind you. This is a high-definition, “blast-resistant” mirror that will give you a clearer view of what’s coming from behind. Its anti-glare makes it easy to see on sunny days and the mirror is scratch-resistant so it’ll stay “like new” for years to come!
A rearview mirror is the first accessory I bought for my e-bike, with zero regrets.
Promising review:“I just put this on my RadRover eBike and it has become my favorite of several I have tried. Stiff enough to not be blurry over bump roads I ride on; plus stick out farther to my left for easier rearview glance than my previous favorite. I get a quick glance visual for when I will be riding further out into the road while passing garbage cans or bushes that will push me into the road. IMO: It is way safer to have a mirror on your bike. I ride a motorcycle too, and know mirrors and mirror glancing habits save lives! … like keeping the rubber side down.” – Safer Bike Rides

These cool-looking mirrors attach to your handlebars. They have a concave surface to make it easier to see what’s coming up behind you. The mirrors are fully adjustable and you can mount them at the perfect angle.
These were an excellent purchase for our folding e-bikes and easy to install too.
Promising review:“Absolutely fabulous! Easy to install – I had to slice off the end of my handlebar grip, but that’s not the mirror’s fault! Thought I could slice an “X” into the end of my handlebar grip, but no – still too much material in the way… So what! I sliced the end of the grip flush with the end of the handlebar; the mirror installed flush, covered the hole – it looks like it was always there! These are sold in pairs, but the wide-angle aspect of these mirrors are so perfect, I can see directly BEHIND me, with just ONE mirror on my left side! The OTHER mirror I put on my wife’s bike, left side – and SHE’S just as THRILLED as I am! We BOTH highly recommend this mirror!” – Charlie H.
This e-bike accessory pouch is perfect for when you don’t need larger pannier bags or don’t have a rear rack. It’s easy to install and with mounting straps.
One of the best things about this little bike bag is that it comes in four sizes, so it fits most e-bikes. You’ll want to consider how much room there is underneath your seat as well as how much interior cargo space you need. When in doubt, go bigger!
It’s also water-resistant (not waterproof, however) and easy to access with a big zippered opening. Plus, the reflective trim helps keep you safe!
Promising review: “Large capacity: flexible bag that can go up and down as my drop post moves. Long enough to fit Crank Brother mini pump, a mini tool, and mid-size phone.“ – T. Lee
Because of their extra thick shock-absorbing “3-panel” palms, these gloves keep your hands comfortable without the e-bike rider sacrificing control. You can easily take these gloves off because they have pull tabs on the fingers.
If you ride hard and ride long-distance, this accessory is a must!
Promising review:“These gloves fit perfectly (my palm measures between 20cm -21cm) and I bought a large. The gel pads feel really good on the handlebars of my scooter, lots of grip too. The little “tabs” on the inside of the two middle fingers make it so much easier to pull the gloves off. The graphics look kool too…I’m stoked… a great deal; quick shipping from amazon Prime…
UPDATE: after a week of wearing these gloves I have found out why they said “shock absorbing” because so after just a short week of riding with these on ( I ride every day) I have noticed something different when I use my computer to type…my fingers don’t have that tingly feeling and numbness like before…which I am sure came from the vibration of my hands being on the handlebars of my 2 motorcycles…where have these been all my life ?? I just threw out my 2 pairs of other riding gloves and they were in good physical shape…buying a 2nd pair of these for sure.” – Brian J.
These bike shorts are actually made for mountain biking (here are some padded bike shorts for women). But for those of us who ride our e-bikes long distances, these bike shorts are great! 3D padding is included in just the right place. Plus, the thickness will keep you comfy in your electric bike saddle while riding.
The 3D padding helps prevent ride-ups and you can wear them alone or under other cycling clothing.
I never thought I’d end up writing a review for what are essentially padded underwear, but here we are. I recently (within the past 3-4 months) started cycling for exercise. Initially, I had trouble getting used to the rather unforgiving seat on my new bike, so I replaced the seat with a more padded model. This worked for a while, but on longer rides (20 miles+) I noticed that the padding was too firm and actually caused some pretty major pain. As an experiment, I bought these and one other (cheaper) pair to see if they’d make a difference. Boy did they ever make a difference, and because I had another pair to compare them with, I found that these are vastly superior. They stay up and wear pretty much like a normal pair of boxer briefs. They’re so comfortable that I often forget that the padding is even there. Best of all, no more pain while riding. These things are great.” – Ryan C.

Having your mobile phone front and center (instead of in your pocket) while you’re riding is a huge plus. I use my GPS all the time and having an easy view of my iPhone provides easy access. Thus, this is one of the most important e-bike accessories under $25! Afterall, you pay hundreds of dollars for your phone.
Velcro straps on the bottom of the top bar grab it firmly, and a Velcro strap on the fork keeps it centered. The straps were too long and I had to cut them. As you don’t want them to unroll, leave them a little long so you can tuck them in.
Sometimes the bag shifts because of the weight, but not much, maybe a half-inch or so. No big deal.
Promising review: “.
“This is a great top tube bag!If you like a top tube bag to store this and that and want to see and touch your iPhone screen while you ride and keep your screen protected from water and bugs, maybe you ride in the rain sometimes like me…this is the bag you’re looking for.
It holds a nice amount of stuff besides your phone like a wallet or keys or a bike tube etc…” – Jason R.
This is a small, but very bright LED bike light, to keep every path well-lit. Pick white for the front headlight or red for the rear taillight. Of our 25 e-bike accessories under $25, this is our top recommendation for safety.
Charging the lights is a simple 3-step process:
Plug the micro USB cable into the Bike light’s micro USB port
Connect the other end of the cable to an AC adapter (not included) or an active USB port on your computer
When the front light is fully charged, the LED indicator will turn green and the rear light will turn orange.
Promising review: “Just ordered my third set of these [have a few bikes and I will not ride without lights]. The absolute best; and I’ve tried a few. All more expensive by the way. They’re rechargeable, fit most head tubes as well as handlebars and they give you extra straps. They are remarkably bright [can be seen from the side too] with three bulb patterns and the charge lasts quite a while. Lastly, they look cool ~ round chrome-like shape. Don’t even think about others…” – PJ Jenkins
Bells are a must-have bike accessory for any e-biker riding on a path with people.
It has a loud warning bell. This aluminum bicycle ring bell is specially designed for mountain bikes but attaches easily to your e-bike. They’ll produce a crisp ringtone that’s easy to hear. And it comes in lots of colors!
Promising review: ” I ordered the gold/yellow one. It gives a very loud, crisp ring. It’s easy to use, unlike some other bells at this price that get stuck. For the price, it’s pretty heavy duty and I don’t think it’ll break easily. It should be simple to install. It looks like I just need to loosen the screw and slide it on. The plastic circle part (second picture) stretches pretty far In case the handlebars are too wide.” – Sarah
For your first, second, or third bike lock! I’ve always recommended a U-Lock or heavy chain lock (Amazon) to protect your electric bike. But, customers (and lots of them) rated this inexpensive chain lock with over 4.5 stars.
So, it’s an accessory that can be used as an additional lock to deter thieves (using 2 or more bike locks is always a good idea for your expensive e-bike). Who wants to break through two locks?! Let’s keep our fingers crossed!
It’s about 3 feet in length with 6mm thick heavy chain links. It’s made of heavy-duty steel for maximum strength and flexibility. As a bonus, the protective cloth sleeve will keep the chain clean and rust-free while avoiding ebike scratches.
Promising review: “Great lock for low-risk areas. The combination is set and cannot be changed. This is an economic but durable solution for situations when you want to lock your bike in a public place. The section of the cable is by no means thick enough to deter anyone who really wants your bike. I would not let my bike with this lock overnight in critical areas, but this lock is fantastic when you stroll downtown and stop for a coffee or lunch somewhere. It comes with a fixed combination, meaning you cannot set a more memorable one for yourself. Make sure you mark the four digits down somewhere (phone, maybe?) so you do not look like an idiot trying to steal your own bike!” – Team Leader 100
This bright headlight mounts easily to the handlebars or seat posts of your e-bike or regular bike. It offers visibility of more than 1500 feet. In addition, there are five LEDs that light up the road for a distance of more than 40 feet, and the handlebar mount doesn’t require any tools.
It has a quick-release system for removing the headlight from its mount once it’s mounted. You can change the angle and remove the taillight with its easy quick-release clip. It’s got up to 80 hours of light! (batteries not included).
Promising review: “5.0 out of 5 stars Headlight Was Good, But The Customer Service Was Amazing!
I purchased the BV Light Set from Bikepak USA on a recent Lightning Deal. The price was very attractive, so my expectations were not that high. The package arrived a few days later. Installed the headlight on my wife’s bike…it fit well and was bright enough for nighttime riding. Tried the taillight……it didn’t work.
I figured it was another one of those “you get what you pay for” things, so I didn’t complain.
A couple of days later, I received an email from Bikepak USA, asking if I was satisfied with my purchase. Decided to reply and tell them the taillight didn’t work. The next day I received a reply, along with a tracking number for a replacement. To say I was impressed was an understatement!
Two days later the replacement product arrived. I opened the package to find a complete set of lights. Both worked perfectly.” – Racer Randy
This LED bike light is a must-have if you plan on cycling at night. Whether you’re riding on a busy road or a dark path, it’ll make you really visible in an environment of stoplights and neon signs.
Don’t avoid adding this essential accessory to your electric bike, even if you already have a headlight! Tip: Make sure your bike rack and pannier bags don’t block the light.
Promising review: “Love this thing!!!! Looks amazing on my bike. I was initially dismayed at the rubber clasp was really short and looked like it would not wrap around the bike stem. Took a lot of effort to stretch it but eventually, it barely clasped at the biggest loop. Once it was clasped the light could be tilted upwards or downwards. The light is super bright!!! Love the way it looks and it’s a small thin footprint.” – Mocosonino
Since we’re speaking of safety in this article, I really want to stress the importance of letting the cars, people and other riders around you know you’re around them!
Sending signals as you drive, like having an actual turn signal on your e-bike, is really a must-have. It’s suitable for all types of bicycles, such as e-mountain bikes, electric road bikes, fat tire e-bikes, hybrid e-bikes, etc. You can easily control the turn signals, emergency lights, and warning lights as you ride your bicycle.
The bicycle tail light kit combo can be attached to virtually any electric bike. Another plus… This light has a long battery life of up to 10 hours when flashing!
Promising review: “These are excellent, bright, signal lights. As the seller says, they can be paired with another remote by long-pressing the on/off switch. The red power indicator starts flashing until it is commanded by a remote. Then it synchronizes with that remote, and the power indicator stops flashing. Wonderfully simple! Pair both the front and back signal units with the same remote. Works great!” – T. Marshall
Bike alarms have become popular e-bike gadgets.. With up to 113 dB of loud alarm sound, this anti-theft bike alarm can help deter thieves, provide additional security, and give you peace of mind when your electric bike is parked outside.
The sensitivity can be adjusted from ‘gentle touch’ to pushing. The alarm makes a sound when you press the ringtone key too! Find your bike in the crowd fast and easy.
Promising review: “I was not sure what to expect for such a low price, but I was pleasantly surprised with it… I just bought my first electric bike, I paid $1500 for the thing, you can imagine I really want to protect it from thieves. Ebikes are a super hot item for thieves from what I am told. It is super sensitive, just touch the bike and it goes off. I was able to hide it inside of a plastic box that holds my electric motor controller. Between having this alarm, a disc brake lock, and a chain/lock set up I feel secure leaving it outside of the mall for a 2-hour movie at the theatre. People are amazed when they see me activate the alarm… They have no idea how simple it really is… I love it, and will put one on my next bike too.” – Mike-n-Kady
Considering the price, this is a nice tool kit. It doesn’t have the most pieces, and they’re not the best quality, but you’re also not forking over $75 for it. And this tool bag has the things you need most if you get stuck on the side of the road, like tire levers to fix flat tires.
Plus, you can put your e-bike keys and phone in it too!
Promising review: “Well, this was a pleasant surprise find. The case is well made, even the stitching is finished nicely though I think a 3rd strap on one of the ends would help to keep it from flopping on the frame while pedaling, just a thought. A small variety of tools, well.. they cover every need I would have on my bike, so unless you’ve got some crazy custom stuff going on, it’s likely this will cover your needs as well. The tools feel solid, the patches are glueless and the pump is nice and compact with an adapter. Overall, great value for the price, recommend!” – Toddles “OmniFox” D
I can’t even begin to describe the number of design choices you have with this helpful accessory! For men and women, use one as a face mask (not medical grade), neck wrap, or headband while riding your e-bike. Keep the dust and bugs out of your mouth and nose, and the cold, drying wind or hot sun off your face and neck.
Because these scarves are made of soft microfiber, they’re comfortable, breathable, and stretchable. While they will give you some warmth in cool weather, they’re not made for really cold weather!
Promising review:“Love these for face covering requirements and being out and about. Lightweight, stretchy, and breathable & has other uses like a headband or scarf. They will be even better for when the weather cools down a bit.” – Nadine B.
I bought these for my husband’s Rad Power Bike so he could tote around our bike tools, water, jackets, and some snacks for full-day rides. What’s great about them is that there are two bags, one for each side of your bike rack.
There are four separate sections that make it easy to organize your belongings. And the price is unbelievable for this much cargo space! Most panniers cost over twice as much and you only get a bag for one side.
I was even surprised when we rode in the dark and noticed the reflective trim all the way around the bags. My thoughts… by far the most useful accessory for an e-bike rider!
Promising review: “I just got an E-bike and these panniers are the perfect addition to the bike–they fit well on my rear rack, the tapered design prevents your legs from bumping the bag while pedaling. Very roomy and seem to be very water resistant” – Semake

It’s a long-standing problem when cycling in the winter – most cycle helmets have various holes and vents to stop the e-bike rider from wilting in the summer. But when winter rolls around, those same holes let in a deathly chill. If you’ve ever tried to put a beanie hat or a headscarf under your helmet, you know how bulky that can feel.
This cap is an extra layer under bicycling helmets. The cap is thin enough to fit under most bike helmets.
Promising review: “Just completed a 2-day cyclocross race weekend with temps just above freezing. This cap was great. It fit my head very snuggly (I have a large head) and never felt like it would come loose, even without a helmet on top. The ear flaps kept my ears from getting cold, without blocking out too much sound, but you can easily fold them up if you don’t need them covered. There is a ponytail opening at the back if you have long hair, which I don’t, but still found it helpful to see where the “back” of the cap was without staring at it for too long.” – Greg C
Wear this thermal women’s winter hat and let your pony loose!
NO MORE NUMB EARS IN WINTER! Running or cycling in winter can be a pain. You’d better grab a comfy, soft, windproof women’s skull cap to keep your head and ears warm.
This cap is made of water-resistant and durable polyester and spandex fabric. It has thickened thermal fleece inside to keep you warm and protected. Plus, it has a really nice size ponytail opening! Fits head sizes 20″-24″.
Hint: This makes a nice e-bike accessory gift for a woman e-bike rider.
Promising review: “This is my first skull cap, and I love it! I didn’t use to like biking in cold weather, but with the right equipment, it’s great to get outdoors and get some exercise! The cap is warm and comfortable, completely covering my ears which is key as I tend to get earaches while biking in cold or windy weather. It fits well under my helmet, it’s not too tight but snug enough to not let the wind in. I think it would also work well under a snowmobile helmet although I haven’t tried that yet (no snow yet, luckily!) Actually, it would be a great winter cap to use for any reason, especially if active.” – Luanne I.
You’re going to be cool! Be the center of attention and get compliments everywhere you go, especially at bike events. Each box is for 1 wheel so you can mix or match colors. Get ready to ride in style! Front and back lights leave you vulnerable from the sides.
But you’ll be seen from all directions with these wheel lights! This is also a perfect gift for an e-bike rider who is all about having fun!
Promising review: ” Takes about 5-10 minutes to install. We have only had them on for 1 day but they look awesome; very bright and seem to be good quality. Great idea for safety while riding too!” – Justin S.
If you’ve used a regular hand pump to pump up your e-bike’s fat tires in the past, you know how tiring (pun intended) it can get. Try this foot pump instead.
It has a large, non-slip pedal with four non-slip bottom rubber pads that make the frame stable. And because it lays flat, it’s always ready to use!
Promising review: “Wow…this thing is heavy duty. So many of these foot pumps are lightweight and bend too easily, but this thing is heavy and tough. Not often do I get an item that I am this impressed with. The gauge is very solid and a nice large size…easy to read. I used the pump to inflate a soccer ball and while most of these pumps with a built-in gauge aren’t at all accurate in the low range, this one worked perfectly and registered even at just a few psi.
The design of the “foot peddle” is super nice in that I could use it without a shoe on and it was very comfortable. … I certainly recommend this one.” – Dman7
No matter what the weather throws at you, you can be assured that the shoe covers will keep your feet warm and protected so that you can continue your riding adventure. It uses waterproof high elastic PU material fabric and has wind and rain protection functions.
This is a way better option than riding long distances with cold, wet feet! Works for most shoe sizes.
Promising review: “A size L fits nicely over my size 44 road shoes. Though the material is thin, they held up very well this winter and they are totally windproof. With a pair of wool socks under my road shoes and another pair of wool sock tips over the top, I was fine with these covers on a one-hour ride in 28 F. 35-50 F and the wool socks under the shoes are enough.” – RScott
This bike cover is designed to keep your electric bike safe and sound. The durable design gives you protection against rain, wind, snow, dust, and whatever else mother nature may throw at you. A helpful buckle at the bottom stabilizes the cover, keeping it secure even on windy days. It’s easy to pack up and transport with you, as well!
However, if you’re going to be storing your e-bike for a while, make sure to remove the battery first to protect its battery life!
Promising review: “I read quite a few positive reviews on this item before I purchased it but many of them were written by people who received this item free. However, I paid full price for this bike cover and think it is one of the best $15 purchases I could make... can’t believe you can get such a nice cover for so little money. I bought a new bicycle while we were spending the winter in South Texas and I wanted something to keep the dust and rain off. This cover fit the bill perfectly. It gets very windy where we were and I was afraid the cover wouldn’t hold up but it did. Also, the black top part makes it easy to see exactly how to put the cover on. Thank you for offering such a nice cover at such a reasonable price.” – Sandeelee
With this cover, you’ll be able to completely cover your two electric bike wheels and protect them, as well as the area around them, from dirt marks, dust, and rust.
It’s perfect for storing e-bikes indoors or for transporting them on trains or airplanes.
Promising review: “It came in on time. Great quality material. Fits perfectly on the cruiser-style bike as well as the mountain bike (I purchased 2). Having these makes it easy to keep the bikes inside the house without the hassle of the dirt. They are easily machine washable also! Great product!” – Courtney
This 2L BPA-free bladder keeps you hydrated during long rides and it’s easy to drink from. The insulation layer also keeps the water fairly cool. And bonus: The front pocket can hold wallets, keys, phones, small tools, etc.
This is a great alternative to using pannier bags on a bike rack… and it’s the perfect gift for an e-bike rider who doesn’t have a bike rack!
Promising review: “I have been very happy with this hydration pack. It is lightweight and comfortable. I used it while hiking on vacation in Utah (desert area and very dry) and it was perfect. If you fill the bladder early and put it in the freezer for an hour or so before setting it out, the water will stay cold for many hours. There is enough extra space to pack some snacks and the lacing on the outside is perfect for securing a jacket or extra clothing. The price was definitely great for what I got. The bladder and hose are rather “plastic” tasting. I just cleaned it first very well before using it, letting it soak about 15 min with light bleach water first. Then followed that with baking soda water. Then I made sure to rinse the bladder and hose out very well.” – Brenna25
You can have your own action camera when riding your e-bike! This harness and phone mount fits my iPhone as well as any other smartphone (as long as it’s not in a thick case). Once the phone is secure, you can tilt it as needed and switch the view from vertical to horizontal.
Recording video as you ride is fun and easy. Plus, since your phone is secured, you don’t need to use any other bag or pocket to carry it!
Promising review:“This is the only chest strap phone mount I could find for under $20 that lets you turn the phone vertical for recording YouTube shorts, Instagram reels, etc. Not sure why no one else is keeping up with the times, but in 2022, there should be more of them. The strap is adjustable and very stretchy and it holds my phone for recording nicely, as long as I’m on a smooth road. Off-road, it’s a little bumpy! – Lisa from E-Biking Today 🙂
I’m sure a few of these products will come in handy whether you choose to ride long distances, take short trips or you’ve parked your electric bike outside to do some shopping or sightseeing.
These electric bike accessories are also perfect gift ideas for birthdays or the holiday season!
If you have other suggestions, I’d love to hear them!
I just went on my first cross-country e-bike ride on Charge Bikes’ XC! 🚴♂️✨ With a Shimano Mid Drive motor and 29” tires, it was all new to me and I wasn’t sure what to expect. What I discovered was an e-bike that is excitingly different than the electric bikes I’ve reviewed in the past!
The Charge XC Electric Bike is designed for fast and smooth riding on the road but with solid handling and performance on off-road terrain.
I’m Lisa at E-Biking Today and I’m sharing what I’ve learned about cross-country bikes and the Charge XC electric bike. Read the detailed article. Then, watch my XC e-bike review below to check out the pros and cons and what makes this bike unique. Further, get help deciding if the XC cross-country electric bike is right for you and discover my surprising conclusion!
Cross County Electric Bikes vs. Electric Mountain Bikes
Before we dive deeper into our XC electric bike review, let’s answer this question: ‘What’s the difference between a cross-country bike, like the Charge XC, and a more traditional mountain e-bike?’
Cross-country (XC) bikes are designed primarily for speed and efficiency on diverse terrains, including off-road. They’re typically lighter, have an aggressive geometry for more power and efficiency, and generally offer less suspension travel compared to their mountain bike counterparts.
On the flip side, mountain bikes are built to tackle rough, super technical trails. They often come with beefier frames, more suspension to absorb shocks from big rocks and drops, and a more relaxed frame for stability. Think of XC bikes as agile marathon runners and electric mountain bikes as sturdy trail warriors.
But, what I’m most excited to show you in this Charge XC e-bike review is how versatile it is. It can literally take you across the country! It’s built to ride fast on the street but also has the ability to tackle singletrack mountain trails, fire roads, and gravel paths. Check below the video for more info on Charge Bikes… I think you’ll be surprised!
So, let’s dig into what makes this cross-country ebike stand out among other electric bike styles, and discuss the pros and cons.
Pros of the XC Electric Bike
Shimano Mid-Drive Motor and Components
The XC ebike is loaded with high-quality Shimano components, which increases its value big time!
First, there’s a Shimano 504-watt-hour integrated battery with an ABUS Lock. There’s also a Shimano controller and display, an 8-speed rear derailleur and shifter, and Shimano Hydraulic disc brakes with 180mm rotors.
But of greatest significance is the Shimano Mid-Drive Motor.
A huge benefit, the Shimano E5000 250W mid-drive motoris in the dead center of the Charge XC bike, not in the rear hub. It offers electric assistance up to 20mph through 3 pedal assist modes.
What’s Special About a Mid-Drive Motor?
Instead of providing power to one or two of the wheels on an e-bike, as with a more common hub motor, a mid-drive electrical system provides power to the actual drive train. Thus, it assists your pedaling effort. A mid-drive motor also allows better weight distribution, significantly improving a bike’s handling.
I experienced this ease of riding firsthand during my trail test ride. Even though the XC has a lower-powered 250W motor, it was easy to maneuver and glide over loose dirt and rocks.
Of course, I attribute my smooth ride to the next of the XC’s Pros as well…
29” All-Terrain Tires
The Goodyear Peak 2 and a quarter-inch wide puncture-resistant tires with reflective sidewalls are super tall, with little rolling resistance.
These knobby tires are perfect for riding across the country, bikepacking, and touring due to their ability to handle fast street riding and off-road terrain. I was able to ride on the road, over rocky terrain, on fire roads, and on single-track trails like it was nothing.
Torque Sensor
I loved the natural feeling of riding with a torque sensor instead of a cadence sensor. When I pedaled, I moved forward. When I braked, I stopped, instead of continuing to slide forward as sometimes happens on a cadence sensor e-bike.
Lightweight and Compact
The XC electric bike is thin and lightweight, weighing only 55 lbs with the battery installed! Plus, it has fold-flat handlebars and folding pedals for easy storage and travel.
Long Range
Ride up to 50 miles without needing to recharge your battery. If you use a lot of pedal assistance, you may get 30 miles or less.
Automatic Tire Pressure Sensors
I love these twist-on air pressure sensors! They show red when you need air or green if you’re ready to ride, leaving the guesswork out of tire inflation!
Integrated Front and Rear Lights
High-powered, automatic front and rear lights are an essential safety benefit, so I’m glad they’re included as a benefit. See and be seen day or night.
Good Suspension
The XC has an SR Suntour XCM 34, 100mm coil fork with a preload adjuster. This front suspension helped me feel quite comfortable going over rocks and bumps. Need even more suspension? Easily add a suspension seat post.
Comfortable Grips
Additionally, I want to point out the super comfortable grips. My hands rested nicely on the ergonomic soft rubber yet I could still easily grip the handlebars.
Additional Benefits of the XC
Now, to add to the long list of Charge XC pros, it comes with an integrated rear rack with a 50 lb weight limit, and rigid, all-weather full-coverage fenders. Plus, with its maximum rider weight of 300 lbs, nearly anyone can ride, take along a pack, and be protected from debris while riding.
Cons of the Charge XC
No Throttle
Yes, the XC was easy to ride without a throttle… I just lowered the gears a notch or two and the difference was obvious. However, you might still prefer to have a throttle in the event you get tired after a day’s ride or if you’d prefer more assistance on steep hills. Consider adding a throttle once you get your XC bike.
Higher Cost
At around $2699, Charge Bikes’ XC is a little more expensive than an otherwise similar hub motor electric bike. However, as I explained earlier, a mid-drive ebike is worth the added cost if you expect better handling and performance.
Small Display
I wish the display was a little bigger. It was sometimes hard to see what pedal assist level I was on. But I think this is something I can live with given all the other pros of the Charge XC.
What You Need to Know Before Buying the XC
Unboxing and Assembly
Charge Bikes states that you can build the XC in 10 minutes and start riding. Perhaps this is true if you have all of the tools laid out and don’t need to take a look at the assembly guide or video. Realistically, expect to need at least 20-30 minutes if you read how to assemble it before actually doing it.
Assembly Tip
Further, if you end up like me, spending a half hour trying to slip the rotor in between brake pads that had closed, here’s a tip. If you accidentally squeeze the brakes before installing the front wheel, put a flathead screwdriver in between the brake pads to twist them open.
Overall, the XC assembly was super short and easy, which is yet another benefit of this cross-country e-bike.
Rider Size
Thankfully, the Charge XC is built in two sizes: Small, for riders up to 5’9” and Large for those up to 6’4”. The standover height is 30.5” on the Small frame and 32” on the Large frame. I really appreciate the different frame sizes, as many e-bike companies still build for taller e-bike riders. But, I think we smaller e-bike riders deserve a chance to have fun on the trails too!
Saddle
The XC comes with the Charge comfort saddle. Although I was plenty comfy during my test ride, riding 50 miles could make me wish I had a wider seat.
Charge Bikes Brand
Charge Bikes is owned by Dorel Industries, Inc. alongside iconic cycling brands such as Schwinn, Cannondale, GT, and Mongoose. The company was founded in the UK in 2004 with the hope of making cycling accessible to everyone.
Who Is the Charge XC Mid-Drive E-Bike Best For?
Basically, an electric cross-country bike is the foundation for an electric mountain bike. It rides anywhere, minus super-technical mountain terrain.
Overall, the Charge XC is designed to withstand the rigors of off-road riding while trekking smoothly and quickly on paved roads.
Thus, this mid-drive electric bike is for you if you want the best performance, handling, and range. It’s also the best e-bike if you’re a cycling fan or enjoy riding a regular bike but want or need occasional assistance.
In fact, I think the XC may be the perfect first electric bike for traditional cyclists or new e-bike riders thanks to its success at mimicking the feel of a regular bike. However, it still carries with it the essential features of an electric bike.
Conclusion
Honestly, I was blown away that riding was so much fun on the Charge Bikes XC 250W e-bike without a throttle! The tall tires, mid-drive motor, and torque sensor made me believe I was riding a regular bike… but with plenty of power and speed when needed. The ride felt natural and I got out of it exactly the work I put into it.
I hope you enjoyed my Charge Bikes XC Electric Bike Review… and enjoy your ride!
Did you know that safety and style can work together? A bike helmet doesn’t have to look ridiculous on your head to protect it from injury.
In this bike helmet review, I’m showing you an unusual light-up electric bike helmet from Base C amp. It’s an affordable and stylish helmet that offers many benefits and looks good!
Discover its best features and what’s unique about it that makes it different from other basic bike helmets in the same price range.
Plus, find out the one thing this Basecamp helmet got wrong, and how to get an amazing upgrade for a slightly higher price. This might be the ticket if you’re a serious ebike rider.
Basecamp BC019 Bike Helmet Review
From its reusable packaging to its sleek urban design, Basecamp’s BC019 helmet has a lot going for it.
First Impressions
Here’s what I noticed before even seeing the helmet. It shipped with a layer of bubble wrap around it, inside a soft, cushioned sports bag, and protected by a sturdy cardboard box.
It’s nice to know that what I’m using to protect my head while I ride has been well taken care of before even getting to me!
As for first impressions… I like its updated urban style. It’s perfect for both city commuters and those riding just for fun. It has a cool denim fabric shell and the material is biodegradable. This is good news for the environment. After all, bike helmets don’t last forever.
Denim Helmet Styles
Although I’m showing the Blue Laguna denim in this bike helmet review, there are three other denim colors and one smooth matte black helmet to choose from. I love the Blue Laguna… it’s sort of in between the Blue Ice and the Tumbled Rigid colors. But you can also get it in a more rugged Black Camouflage.
Of course, looks aren’t everything. This sturdy bike helmet is perfect for electric bike riders in regard to safety and comfort.
Pros of the BC019 Bike Helmet
First, I appreciate that it weighs less than 1 lb (that’s just 450 grams). It’s easy to ride my ebike 20 miles if I’m comfortable. Wearing a lightweight bike helmet makes me forget there’s anything there at all.
Then there’s the powerful rechargeable tail light! Charged using a USB-C cable, the helmet’s light flashes in 5 different modes, allowing you to adjust to the current situation and increase safety.
Further, the easy-to-use adjustable fit system saves time. Just turn the dial on the back of the helmet until it feels snug around your head. Next, adjust the chin strap so the helmet is seated on the top of your head and tight around the chin.
Before we get into what went wrong with the Basecamp BC019 Helmet and its most unique feature, please take a moment to subscribe to E-Biking Today’s YouTube channel. I’ll keep you updated with timely electric bike reviews and ebike life!
Cons of the BC019 Denim Helmet
Despite all of its benefits, I still need to let you know what needs improvement on this stylish bike helmet
First, it only comes in one size: Medium/Large. It will fit average-size heads 22-24 inches (or 56-61cm). But, it’s a little too big for me and other e-bike riders who typically wear a Small or Extra Small.
However, thicker helmet pads come with it to make the fit tighter and more snug. Let’s just hope a smaller Basecamp bike helmet is in the works!
Whatever safety helmet you choose, measure your head and fit your bike helmet securely to maximize protection while riding your electric bike.
What You Need to Know About This Light-Up Electric Bike Helmet
Retailing around $57, the denim Base Camp helmet is competitively priced. Plus, E-Biking Today is offering an additional E-Biking Today 5% DISCOUNT CODE: “ebiking” on any electric vehicle, bike helmet, or gear.
In regards to safety, this helmet is made with an ABS outer shell and an EPS liner. Along with its strict EU (CE EN) and U.S. (CPSC) certifications, it meets and exceeds bike helmet safety standards.
Additionally, the BC019 helmet is cool in more than one way. There are 6 vents to keep your head cool. And, you’ll look cool wearing a modern urban helmet design.
But this is a winner in the “most unique bike helmet” category because of its design customization. Paint right on the denim helmet to create a DIY design! Of course, you can ask someone with actual talent to do it for you, just as I’ll have to do!
SMARTBike Helmet Upgrade
Now, I’ve mentioned that you might like to upgrade your bicycle helmet further.
You might remember my previous bike helmet review of Base Camp’s Smart Helmet.
While the BC019 high-quality bike helmet we’ve been looking at costs in the mid-range around $57, the Base Camp SF-999 smart helmet costs about $30 more. This may be worth it for you if you’re a tech lover.
Think Bluetooth speakers, music, or talking on the phone… plus actual turn signal options! There’s also a remote control that attaches to your e-bike handlebars.
There are a lot of awesome things to learn about this smart helmet and everything it has to offer.
I’ve already completed a helmet review for the smart helmet, so be sure to check it out.
Best Bike Helmet for You
No matter which helmet works best for you, it’s good to know that Base Camp helmets offer Lifetime Customer Support, 24/7, and Worldwide Shipping.
The BC019 is the best bike helmet if you need one that’s affordable, sturdy, and stylish. However, the SF-999 Smart helmet is the best choice if you want to listen to music and talk on the phone while riding.
If you have an electric bike rider in your life or are one yourself, you know that riding an e-bike is all about fun, recreation, good health, and exercise. So when you’re ready to give a gift, you want it to be meaningful and reflect what the rider gets out of e-biking.
To make it easy to find the best gift for an electric bike rider, I’ve curated a list of gifts that focus on safety, health, comfort, and/or fun.
Choose from the list below to find the perfect gift for the e-bike rider in your life.
I’ve updated this list with some gift ideas that I have purchased over the last year for riding my e-bike (Updated November 2022)!
Use the table above to get some gift ideas. Then read below to find out more about why each gift may be the best one for the electric bike owner you know.
You won’t find a typical t-shirt or mug with a canned quote on this list, but if that’s what you’re looking for, Amazon has t-shirts and mugs like this one for e-bikers.
But if you want to get an e-bike gift that’s useful and helpful, take a look at this list of the best gifts for e-bike riders!
REDSHIFT ShockStop Suspension Seatpost
Thanks to this amazing Shockstop Bicycle Suspension Seatpost, you can ride smoothly and comfortably for as many miles as your electric bike will take you!
Just adding this simple suspension seat post will reduce vibration and dampen bumps by 60%. But not only will it improve your comfort substantially, but it’ll also help reduce fatigue in your body, help you go faster, and let you stay in control on rough terrain, thus keeping you safer!
With 35mm of tunable responsive travel and four bars of linkage, you can adjust it until it matches your riding style. Plus, your saddle will maintain the same angle throughout your ride!
Just strap it to your chest, insert your mobile phone, and adjust it to fit snugly.
When I was searching, this was the ONLY reasonably priced phone mount that could turn both vertically and horizontally. This is essential if you’re creating YouTube shorts or reels!
What I really appreciate is that it adjusts to your size using multiple straps (and therefore, it even fits me, an extra small person). You will want it to fit tightly to reduce camera movement!
Safety should always be at the top of the list when it comes to riding an electric bike, especially due to the increased speed at which an e-bike rider can go. So if your friend or loved one doesn’t have a high-quality MIPS helmet, make sure to get them one.
MIPS stands for Multi-Directional Impact Protection System. It adds a level of protection over regular bike helmets by reducing injury from angled impact, which is typically what happens to your head in a crash.
Besides the head protection, you can choose your gift in six different colors, so you’re sure to find the best one for the gift receiver. As a bonus, there are 24 vents for good airflow, it’s unisex, and it fits most adults. Plus, it’s one of the more affordable quality MIPS helmets out there.
The Souke Sports Winter Cycling Gloves water-resistant winter gloves are a great gift to provide comfort while riding an electric bike. Temperatures get really cold fast when you’re racing against the wind (which is so easy to do on an e-bike!).
These gloves give your hands warmth while providing superior grip and shock absorption, which are the first things you need from good cycling gloves. What’s even better is that these gloves still allow your fingers to move freely, allow touch screen ability, and offer a micro-fiber thumb to wipe away sweat and moisture.
They’ll keep hands warm while keeping the fingers free to chime a bike bell, use a smartphone, or pull on the brakes.
And they come in 4 colors and 5 different sizes, so they’re sure to fit everyone (men and women ). These are an especially welcome gift for e-bike riders who have cold hands like I do (I won’t ride without them during the fall or winter!).
You can’t go wrong with gifts that entertain! The REMALI CaptureCam 4K Ultra HD does just that. This gift captures the adventure and fun of every e-bike ride... and those reviewing it are loving it for the great customer service and the price!
And, the receiver of this gift is going to love you (if they don’t already)! With 21 different mounts, you can attach it to an electric bike and just start riding. It’s waterproof to 98ft, anti-shake, and wi-fi enabled. Plus, it captures wide angles, burst photos, and has a remote control, among other things.
This is such a fun gift, you might just want to buy it for yourself… and at this price, you can (The famous Go Pros start at double the price of the Remali HD camera!
A bike rear-view mirror is one of the top safety devices I recommend. I use mine every time I ride my e-bike, and it’s saved me from veering in front of cars and on street corners on numerous occasions.
This is one of the best gifts for safety-conscious electric bike riders… and might be something they haven’t even thought of, especially if they’re beginner e-bike riders.
Most mirrors adjust to fit most e-bike handlebars, but I can recommend the inexpensive Hafny Handlebar Mirror from Amazon… it’s worked great for me and my husband.
Ready to step up your gift-giving a bit? How about giving a rear-view camera as a gift, instead of just a rear-view mirror? The FEISIKE Handlebar Bike Mirror and Rear View Camera is a cool and useful gift for its relatively small price.
Why is a rearview camera needed? Not only will it help the e-bike rider to see what bikes or cars are approaching from behind (on a color screen), but it also provides evidence of an accident! And it can see what’s going on at night as well!
This gift can reduce a lot of stress for bike riders… they can stay safe without looking over their shoulder constantly!
UV400-protected, photochromic sunglasses are needed to protect an e-bike rider’s eyes. Using electric pedal assistance gives e-bike riders the ability to travel fast! Besides the chance of bugs flying in your eyes (I’ve definitely felt them hit my glasses!), these glasses are impact-resistant, scratch-resistant, and unbreakable.
So, not only do they make it easy to see while riding, but they protect cyclists’ eyes from anything that could be blown in them.
I also love that they aren’t the typical thick, ugly cycling goggles. They’re so cool that you can wear them on your e-bike and off. Plus there are eight unisex styles to choose from.
When giving a gift to a health-conscious electric bike rider, you want it to be meaningful, and not some silly little item they couldn’t care less about.
That makes a Garmin HRM-Pro heart rate monitor an essential gift to many electric bike riders. Just strap the Garmin Pro Heart Rate Monitor to your chest and heart rate data is sent to any compatible app, fitness equipment, or Garmin device.
Users can compare various training sessions or simply make sure their heart rate is in the appropriate zone.
Garmin uses ANT+ and Bluetooth connectivity with other devices and has a rechargeable battery.
Padded Bike Seat Cover – Bikeroo E-Bike Seat Cushion
Here’s the truth about electric bike riders… we ride longer and farther thanks to our e-bike’s motor, long-lasting battery, and however much pedal assistance we need! So having a comfy seat under the bum is a real treat!
One note of caution: You will need to know the size of the bike seat you’re buying for. If it’s for an electric road bike or an e-mountain bike, a narrower seat pad might be needed. Otherwise, it’s likely that you’ll need somewhere between 8 inches and 11 inches to fit most wider seats on commuter electric bikes, cargo bikes, and hybrid e-bikes… like this one!
Looking for something that costs less but is a truly meaningful and fun gift for your favorite cyclist? A Recycled Chain Bottle Opener, made from a recycled bike chain, makes the best gift because it’s one of the tools needed to get refreshment and have fun!
It’s bicycle-themed and promises relaxation after a long ride on an electric bike! But, of course, a rider can also take it with them and use it during a riding break.
When giving a gift, basic is just not enough. The Whale Fall 360° Rotation Bicycle Phone Mount goes above and beyond a simple smartphone mount… it’s actually a very compact storage bag that also protects your phone from rain and breakage.
The phone bag has a waterproof zipper and sun-visor, as well as comes with an additional waterproof cover. You can rotate it 360 degrees for easy viewing. Plus, it has a TPU Touch Screen and holds small items such as cash, credit cards, electric bike keys, or even a small power bank.
This phone mount and bag have all the necessities for any bike rider! It’ll protect your phone and make it easy to store other items. And it’s small enough to remove from your e-bike to keep it safe from thieves.
PR Muscle Lotion is a “miracle” lotion that releases the essential electrolyte bicarb directly through the skin to the fatigued muscle. It claims to reduce acid build-up from high exertion during exercise.
So, it’s a great gift for those who use cycling as a form of serious exercise or who are often combating soreness from electric bike riding.
Although you’ll get the best value for the dollar by buying a 10.6 oz bottle for $35, getting them in a box of 5 packets (20g each) makes them easy to take on the go!
Many people are tempted to get an inexpensive bike lock, thinking it’ll keep their electric bike from being stolen. However, bike thieves have many tactics for breaking and cutting locks.
But you can help out by gifting a sturdy chain lock (or two)! The Hiplock Chain Lock is a high-level secure lock made of 10mm hardened steel covered by a sturdy nylon sleeve. What really makes it unique is that you can wear it around your waist until you need to use it!
The wearable feature is actually super functional when it comes to electric bikes… it won’t harm sensitive electric components by moving around while you’re riding! This is because it’ll be worn around the waist instead of hanging on the e-bike!
Most of the reviewers said they hardly noticed it once around the waist. Wearing it with a snug fit also distributes weight evenly instead of affecting the bike’s balance.
Every cyclist loves a nice pannier bag! So, it’s not surprising it’s one of the best gifts for electric bike riders! There are a ton to choose from but the Ibera PakRak Quick-Release Bicycle Bag gets top ratings when it comes to an all-weather double-sided pannier that doesn’t break the bank!
Not only does it make it easy to ride to the store, work, or school, but you can also remove it from the bike rack in as little as 3 seconds with its strapless clip-on system! And its multiple compartments each carry up to 20 lbs (so 40 pounds total).
Every electric bike rider needs a few tools on hand for basic repairs, in case they get stuck far from home. It’s a matter of safety and convenience! So, if your e-bike lover doesn’t yet have one of these, then this Bicycle Repair Bag and Tire Tool Kit is one of the best gifts you could give.
It comes with tire repair patches, an air pump, and a tool kit for basic maintenance.
You can watch a short video to find out how to use these tools or change a tire tube... or there might even be another cyclist on the road willing to help out. Many times, the tire just needs a simple patch, which comes in a tire repair kit.
This is the best gift to use as an add-on to another gift for an e-cyclist. The Polar Breakaway Insulated Bottle has a cap that self-seals and a high-flow nozzle… it was actually made by cyclists who understand hydration needs!
An insulated water bottle is a healthy gift to share, especially when it’s BPA-free and easy to sip from, without any spills or leaks. Polar brand water bottles are dishwasher safe and even come with a Lifetime Warranty.
I hope you’ve found the perfect gift in this curated list of the 17 best gifts for your favorite e-bike rider.
Finding the perfect gift doesn’t need to be hard. Just consider what the person you’re trying to find a gift for enjoys or values.

The cool new electric bike from Lectric is here. If you like the Lectric XP 2.0, then you’ll fall in love with the Lectric XP 3.0. And if you’re considering buying your first Lectric e-bike (the 3.0 is my first Lectric bike), you’ll want to know why you should (or should not) buy it. I’ll tell you what you need to know in this quick look at Lectric XP 3.0.
Overall, the Lectric XP 3.0 is more powerful and more comfortable than the 2.0 thanks to increased torque, an improved suspension fork, and a 20 amp controller, among other value-oriented features. The XP 3.0 offers amazing value for a low price.
Read to find out what you should know before you buy one.
Quick Look at the Lectric XP 3.0
The Lectric XP 3.0 offers a lot more than other folding electric bikes in its price range. For starters, the new ultra-strong bike rack can hold a passenger!
The XP 3.0 is perfect for you if you’re a budget-conscious buyer, want an affordable folding e-bike, or are a gem-seeker. Once you understand the value offered for the price, you’ll know you found something special! Just the added passenger capability alone hugely increases the value.
Here’s a list of this electric bike’s pros and cons… as you can see, there are far more advantages than disadvantages!
Pros
Plenty of power that lets you take off fast (honestly, I had to adjust a little to how fast it takes off).
Speeds of up to 28mph with pedal assist (faster than many e-bikes)
Speeds up to 20mph using the twist throttle
Plenty of power-assist flexibility (5 levels of pedal assist and an adjustable speed controller)
7-Speed Gear Shift to help dial-in pedaling difficulty and save battery life
Range of up to 45 miles/72 km (or 65 miles/105 km for the Long-Range XP 3.0)
Great stopping power with new hydraulic disc brakes (180mm as opposed to 160mm)
Choice of a step-thru or step-over model (priced the same)
Comfort: The customized saddle and hydraulic suspension fork will protect your body from bumps
Long Range XP 3.0 option offers 40% more range for only $200 more (or up to 65 miles/105km)
Very capable, knobby 20″ X 3″ tires (good for off-road riding)
Folds easily (put it in your car without dealing with installing an expensive bike rack)
NEW passenger capability- 150lb (68kg) rated integrated rear rack can hold a child or much larger person
Everything you need for your daily commute or leisure riding
Cons
You won’t find any top-of-the-line components on this budget e-bike (but you will get name-brand parts, such as Shimano, that work just fine)
The XP 3.0 weighs 64lbs (29kg) (but it’s not heavier than most e-bikes… and it’s actually lighter than my previous folding e-bike with the same size wheels)
Lectric XP 3.0 vs. XP 2.0 (Why is the 3.0 so much better?)
The XP 3.0 is a sizeable upgrade over the Lectric XP 2.0. Many features and components have been improved! And that says a lot for an electric bike that already had thousands of positive customer reviews.
The truth is, Lectric has sold tens of thousands of XP 2.0 electric bikes for less than $1000 since 2019. So they must be doing something right… their e-bikes are wildly popular, even though they’re priced on the low end.
Differences between the Lectric XP 3.0 and XP 2.0
The XP 3.0 still has a 500W motor, like the 2.0, but it offers much more power. The new 3.0 includes all of what you see listed below in the basic package, as well as upgrade packages (which may be free with purchase)!
Take a look at the table to see the differences between the XP 2.0 and 3.0.
Feature/Component
XP 2.0
XP 3.0
Motor
500W (800W peak) with 35nm torque
500W (1000W peak) with 55nm torque
Controller
18 amp
20 amp
Brakes
160mm mechanical disc brakes
180mm hydraulic disc brakes
Suspension Fork
40mm travel
50mm travel
Freewheel
14-28 tooth
11-28 tooth
Saddle
Regular bike seat
Customized for a sportier look (see upgraded seat)
Grips
Ergo rubber with a hard durometer
Ergo rubber with a squishier, softer durometer
Passenger Compatibility
Rear rack weight capacity of 75lbs (not passenger safe)
To summarize the table above, many components have been improved upon to make the XP 3.0 more comfortable and more powerful than before.
For instance, a 55nm motor gives you faster acceleration, while the 20 amp controller pushes more battery energy to all of the electric bike components. Improved hydraulic brakes help you stop easier and protect your brake pads, while the greater freewheel range helps you pedal consistently and maintain fast speeds.
The Lectric XP 3.0 also gives you a more comfortable ride than the XP 2.0. From the custom-designed saddle to the softer handlebar grips, and the smoother front suspension (10mm more travel makes the ride even less bumpy and more fun).
Finally, one of the best reasons to buy the new Lectric XP 3.0 is its ability to carry a passenger. Now that the rear rack is fully integrated into the frame and twice as strong, you can carry a passenger under 150 lbs (68kg)! Plus, you can set your e-bike (using the display) to “Passenger Mode”. This will limit the e-bike’s top speed to 10 miles per hour (16 km) for safety.
Lectric offers a passenger package as well that includes a cushioned rear rack bench seat, a passenger handlebar, and footrests (when I got my XP 3.0, this came for free with purchase, so be sure to check if that Lectric offer is still available).
Finally, check out how easy it is to unbox and assemble the Lectric XP 3.0… another great reason to get one!
Reasons Not to Buy the Lectric XP 3.0
I had to dig deep to find reasons not to buy the Lectric XP 3.0. It’s such a great value at an amazing price.
But, here are a couple of reasons you perhaps shouldn’t buy the XP 3.0:
If you are comfortable spending over $2000, you can find an electric bike with higher-quality components.
If you’re afraid of having too much power, you can find Class 1 or 2 e-bikes with a smaller motor, less torque, and a smaller battery.
If you’ll need to lift your e-bike and the XP 3.0’s 64 lbs (29kg) is too much to handle, a lightweight e-bike can be found (but will almost certainly cost you more or be of lower quality compared to the XP 3.0).
Final Thoughts
Overall, there’s a lot to impress buyers of the Lectric XP 3.0, whether you choose to have the standard or the Long-Range XP 3.0. The great value of the features, as compared to the price (around $1000), makes it stand out from the crowd.
So, if you’d like a folding electric bike with power, speed, comfort, and added features at an affordable price, the Lectric XP 3.0 may be the best electric bike for you!

What’s an adventure without equipment to capture it?! Riding your electric bike fast doesn’t give you an option to slam on your brakes and record video when there’s something to see. Instead, just mount a camera to your e-bike and capture it all as you go. This will make a huge difference in your cycling experience.
Action Camera
Never miss capturing another moment of excitement on your ride. The REMALI CaptureCam shoots in 4K with an extra-wide angle lens of 170 degrees. Technology Gear and Accessories
If you own an electric bike, you’re likely interested in other technology that will make your ride time even more exciting. Check out the extra gear and cool accessories to help you do just that.
Bike Mirror Camera
Better than a basic rearview mirror, theAntook 1080P Bike Mirror Camera (Amazon) lets you see what’s behind you at every turn of the wheel. With regular mirrors placed on the side of your e-bike, you have to glance over to one side… and you can only see what’s coming on that side.
With clear day and night vision and a 130-degree viewing angle, you can see what’s directly behind you and what’s coming on either side, helping you to relax and enjoy your electric bike ride.
It’s rechargeable, with the battery charge lasting up to 5-6 hours. However, since you have an electric bike, you can wire it into your existing lithium battery with the help of a local bike shop technician.
Earbuds
Not only can earbuds make your ride more fun, but they can also protect your delicate ear canals from the cold wind. The Skullcandy Push Active Wireless Sport Earbuds on Amazon do more than just let you listen to your favorite music for up to 44 hours between charges.
Although they let you quickly tap them to activate, the greatest thing about them is that they also include hands-free voice activation that let you control your audio instantly, without removing your hands from your e-bike’s handlebars. You can use your voice to activate your favorite music, take a selfie with your phone, or share music with a friend.
And, they’re perfect for active e-bike riding for fitness thanks to being sweat and water-resistant and reviewers say they’re super comfortable and have excellent sound quality (which you need when you’re riding against the wind.
Just make sure they don’t cancel out all noise and keep your music or entertainment volume low enough to hear emergency vehicles and traffic.
Headlight
If your electric bike didn’t come with a headlight, you probably shouldn’t be riding at night. You can probably find a headlight from the bike manufacturer. But, if you want something easy to clamp on with a cool Retro vintage look, then this battery-powered headlight will do the trick.
The GOODKSSOP Retro Bike Headlight is a battery-operated LED light with a cool vintage style. Just add 3 AAA batteries, lock it onto your e-bike, and you’re good to go. No fussing with wiring it into your e-bike’s electrical system. It has a special lens for optimal brightness and can even be used as a flashlight when needed.
Essential Riding Gear
Taking a leisurely stroll around the park on a regular bike just isn’t the same experience on an electric bicycle. With your e-bike motor assisting you, you can go as fast and as far as you want (well, sort of). And, since you’ll be riding your e-bike faster and going longer distances, there are a few things you need to stay comfortable.
Although they are recommended gear, you can still choose some really awesome designs. Check them out.
Neck Gaitor
If you’ve never heard of a neck gaiter, it’s probably because you’ve never ridden against the icy wind at 20mph on your electric bike. Here’s the perfect selection of neck gaiters and what you need to know about them.
These amazing neck gaiters on Amazon are made from a soft, breathable microfiber that stretches to comfortably fit your face. Without any irritating sewn-in edges, you can smoothly pull it up from around your neck and over your nose and mouth to protect you from cold or dry wind or harmful sun rays.
Or you can use them in other ways including as a head wrap, face mask, beanie, headband, and more. These are good for men and women, providing many designs to choose from (see just one example in the image below). Plus, you get 6 pieces in any design you choose.
Waterbottle
Having a water bottle with you when you ride is a no-brainer, but it can liven up your ride when you have multiple bright colors to choose from. The ZORRI Sports Water Bottle comes in 4 different sizes and 9 cool colors. But it’s more than just pretty to look at. It has a filter, a one-click pop-top, and a secure lockable lid that prevents leaks.
Best of all, it’s BPA-Free and doesn’t leave a plastic taste in your mouth.
Coffee Cup Holder
You don’t have to choose a morning bike ride over your essential cup of coffee. Take your coffee with you in the MIZATTO Bike Cup Holder (2-pack from Amazon).
Keep your 12oz to 32oz coffee mug warm with a layer of PEVA thermal insulation. Or keep your water bottle or other beverage cool. With easy velcro strap installation on your e-bike’s handlebars, it’ll hold your mug tightly thanks to the drawstring straps at the top.
Bicycle Wine Rack
The Oopsmark Bicycle Wine Rack on Amazon is a one-of-a-kind idea. Just strap it onto your e-bike frame and take it to the park or a friend’s house.
Handmade from leather, it uses antique-looking brass fasteners and holds bottles 2.5″ – 3.25″ (6.4cm – 8.3cm) in diameter. The downside is that it only attaches to frames up to 1.5″ thick, which might be a problem for many heavier e-bike frames.
If this is a problem for your bike, you might rather use a basket on your rear rack to tote your wine and other beverages. Okay, so this wine holder is really more of a cool idea than an essential one, depending on who you ask. And you’ll still need to figure out how to carry the wine glasses.
Stylish Riding Glasses
You don’t have to be a pro cyclist to want to look cool and protect your eyes from UV light and wind with wrap-designed glasses.
These Tifosi Optics Unisex Davos bike riding glasses on Amazon come with 3 interchangeable lenses: two colored composite lenses and one non-polarized. So, you can ride day and night. Plus, choose from other colors and options.
E-Bike Bling
Whether or not you’re a serious rider, when you want to have a little fun and get noticed, you can bling up your e-bike with these colorful and cool electric bike accessories. You might also want to hint to your friends and family that they make perfect gifts for electric bike owners.
Best Bike Bells
You might not have thought about using a boring bike bell to add bling to your e-bike. But, these bike bell styles from Nutcase are certainly not boring.
The Nutcase bike bells offer a classic bicycle bell look but a choice of almost three dozen designs. From goofy faces to animals, fruits, and ones you just have to see for yourself, you’re sure to find one(or several) just right for your electric bike. The design below has a matching helmet (seen previously in this article).

Check out the CYCPLUS electric tire inflator that’s small enough to take with you everywhere! Easily put it in your gear bag or pannier or put it in a tall pocket.
This mini pump has a big output of 150PSI, allowing you to fill electric bike fat tires in an emergency or any time.
Handlebar Grips
Even handlebars can use some bling. Check out these colorful handlebar grips from Rad Power Bikes. So, not only are they made of rubber to help you hold your grip, but they’re also ergonomically designed to make riding your e-bike comfortable for long distances.
HINT: The green grips even match the gnome fenders mentioned above.
Wheel lights
Add some front and rear wheel lights to your electric bike and you’ll get noticed! Amazon has a huge selection of cool wheel lights and spoke lights. Pick from one-color, multi-color, and spoke designs, many for under $20!
Cargo and Storage Essentials
No matter whether you want a cute basket or modern crate on your e-bike rack, the options are endless. But here are two of the best storage accessories to meet either specification:
E-Bike Baskets
How often do you see a bike basket on an e-bike’s rear rack? This adorable rattan basket was specially designed to fit a rear bike rack and look cool doing so. The Nantucket Tuckernuck rear storage basket is perfect for picking up groceries or holding riding gear.
Handlebar Bike Bags
If you need a small and stylish bag to ride on quick trips, the Po Campo Kinga Handlebar Bag is perfect. It comes in two solid colors, a bright blue and black, and a fun, tropical pattern. Plus, it has lots of small pockets and zippered sections, so it can easily fit your phone, keys, earbuds, and more.
You’ll find multiple ways to attach it to your electric bike while it doubles as a small purse when it’s not on your bike. Further, it’s waterproof and reflective!
Pannier Bag
Need a lot of rear storage for your e-bike? The TOURBON Double Cycling Bike Bicycle Pannier Bag on Amazon not only looks cool but provides ample space for groceries, travel gear, tools, food, books, and more. Further, because it’s made of water-resistant canvas, it rolls up easily when not in use and converts to an over-the-shoulder bag when you get off your electric bike. Take a look:
Summary
Electric bikes are great for getting around town, but they can be even more fun with a few cool accessories that make riding more comfortable and enjoyable. These aren’t your standard bike necessities but rather ones that will enhance the time spent riding… and perhaps get you a little attention as well.
Looking into buying yourself an electric bike but unsure how complicated it will be to ride? Don’t worry!
Riding an e-bike is almost as easy as riding a traditional bike. However, there are several differences beginners should be aware of that can make riding an electric bike more challenging. Primarily, these have to do with the electrical components, heavier weight, and riding style.
Once you understand the differences and learn how to manage them, riding an e-bike will be easy.
So, I’ve compiled some tips from experience and additional research that will help beginners learn how to easily ride an e-bike.
Here are 12 tips to make e-bike riding easy (and fun!) for beginners:
1. Ride an E-Bike That Fits Your Weight and Size!
Finding the right physical fit for you is the first thing you should consider, as riding will be so much easier if you’re comfortable on your e-bike.
So, pick one that fits your size. If you’re a tall electric bike rider, make sure the seat and handlebars can adjust high enough so you don’t have to ride hunched over or can’t stretch your legs out when you pedal. Alternatively, if you’re on the shorter end, you’ll want to make sure the pads of your feet can touch the ground when seated but that you can still comfortably reach the handlebars.
You can also pick out a bike with a low step that lets you easily get seated without having to swing your hips and legs up and over. Step-through e-bikes also make it easier to balance when getting on and off the bike and provide more stability while riding.
You’ll also want to consider the weight of the bike. E-bikes are definitely heavier than standard bikes and they can be a bit bulkier. Most e-bikes range from 45-70 pounds, so if you are a smaller person on an e-bike or lack strength, you might want to consider getting and riding one that weighs less.
2. Don’t Get an E-Bike That’s More Powerful Than You Need
Be aware that some e-bikes can have a lot more power than others! Their wattage can be as low as 250W and high as 1,000W, with the higher-watt e-bikes being faster and more powerful. The higher the wattage, the more careful you should be when starting out on one, as it can take off very quickly and you can end up going much faster.
If you just want to take leisurely rides or don’t like to go fast, you may need a bike with only 250W. But, even if this is the case, you might want to go up to a 500W e-bike if you’ll be riding hills or fighting the wind.
However, if you plan on going fast and far, you might consider an e-bike that has 750W. I have an e-bike with 750W and have no problem getting up any hill I need to. Be careful going any higher than a bike with 750W because you may be limited where you’re allowed to ride it legally.
3. Practice Using Pedal Assist Around Your Neighborhood
E-bikes can have a bit of a learning curve, as traditional bikes would! However, it may take more time to get used to pedaling and adjusting to the different speed settings on an e-bike.
Further, because of the speed and weight of the bike, braking can be a bit more difficult than on a standard bike. And you’ll need some time to test out the different pedal assist modes and gear shifting. It might be hard to believe it, but you’ll probably need some time to adjust to the speed as I did… it feels really fast at first!
This is why it’s a great idea to take your bike for a spin around your neighborhood, or somewhere less populated where you don’t have to worry about traffic while you get used to the feel of the bike. You can always take riding the bike in steps as well and eventually progress your way up to riding on a busy street, as long as you feel comfortable and take basic safety precautions.
4. Ride With Others
Riding with others on any type of bike can always make the experience more enjoyable! Having a riding partner can also make things feel safer, as you’ll be more visible to cars with two of you and it’s helpful to have someone there to help if things go wrong… like if your battery runs out or you get a flat tire!
It’s also nice to ride somewhere together to pick up dinner or run errands. This can also help to pass the time or motivate you to get the full e-bike workout that you want.
5. Remember Basic Safety
While e-bikes can feel almost like small motorcycles and you may get caught up in the speed and ease of pedaling, it’s very important to remember your basic safety!
Always wear a helmet while riding, especially with e-bikes since they are much heavier and are a bit harder to brake smoothly
Make sure to stay hydrated and bring plenty of water on your ride, even if you think you’ll be going for a short ride
Check your tire tube pressure before and after riding to ensure the best ride
Ride in low pedal assist modes more often to prevent injury.
Most e-bikes can travel for 22-50 miles on a single charge and will need about 3-6 hours to fully charge. Make sure you know just how far yours can go on a single charge.
One of the good things about e-bikes is that if it does run out of battery, you can always continue to pedal like you would a standard bike. However, it will be much more difficult and take a lot more strength to pedal without the electric assist.
Electric bikes tend to have a lower center of gravity than standard bikes. Because of the extra weight of the bike and the motor being low on the bike, it makes tighter turns more difficult. And, if you’re going at a fast speed, turning a corner will take much more caution because you can end up more toward the middle of the road you’re turning onto.
One of the best ways to do this is to stop pedaling as you enter the curve and try and gently apply the brakes before you go into it… just as you would when taking a tight turn in a car.
Another way to make a turn is to carefully take your bike out away from the turn coming up (but first check traffic on either side), which then allows you to turn tightly onto the road or path you’ll end up on. This can be compared to how a large truck or trailer makes its turns.
Just be aware of how fast you’re going when a curve is visible in front of you, so you can slow down as you need to. Practicing turns in low-traffic areas will make it easy to venture into traffic eventually.
8. Brake Slowly and Early on an E-bike
Be careful braking as well, as braking too suddenly while going downhill or going at a high speed can cause you to be thrown over the front of the handles or the bike to skid. Brake earlier than you might think as well!
This is especially true if you’re riding on dirt or gravel. Braking while going downhill may cause an unwanted skid (this happened to me the first time I rode downhill on dirt and it was a little scary). And if it’s a steep hill, or you’re going fast, this could lead to an accident.
9. Go Easy on the Throttle
Some e-bikes will have a throttle, which is a tool that will allow you to accelerate without pedaling. This can be very useful if you are struggling to make it up a large hill, if you just need a break, or if you need to accelerate quickly to get out of the way of a car.
However, keep in mind that using this too much will wear the battery down quicker and you won’t be able to go as far on a single charge.
The throttle can also cause the e-bike to make a sudden lurching motion, so it’s best to have a light hand and be aware of jerky motions when first using it (and be careful not to accidentally rest your hand on it if it’s a twist throttle… it may take off without you being prepared).
If you have an LCD display on your e-bike, then use it! It’ll show you your current speed, total miles traveled, and the battery power that remains, at the least.
This is a great way to keep track of how long you’ve been riding or how far you’ve gone. If you want to push yourself to ride a certain amount of miles, you can use the trip odometer to show your progress!
The LCD display can also showcase the watts your e-bike is putting out. So, when your bike says it puts out up to 750 Watts (e-bike Watts usually range from 250-1000), you can see if you’re maximizing the bike’s power. Watch the display as you continue to pedal up a hill and you’ll quickly see how fast you can accelerate.
And finally, the LCD display can tell you how fast you’re riding (current miles per hour), which is really just for fun.
11. Adjust Your Seat and Handlebars Before You Take Off
Getting comfortable makes riding an e-bike easy.
Adjusting your seat and handlebars to fit your legs, arms, and torso will allow you to maintain better posture while riding. As for the handlebars, you’ll be most comfortable in an upright position, so you see if you can reach your hands to the handlebars just below your shoulders. Many e-bikes allow you to adjust the height of handlebars as well, making riding even easier.
If your seat doesn’t adjust properly or is still uncomfortable, you can always buy a new seat and replace it yourself.
12. For an Easy Ride, Know Your Terrain
Before you head out, consider where you should take your e-bike out for a ride. Some bikes are built to take on more rocky and bumpy terrains while others are only built for standard street or concrete riding. Many electric bikes are a hybrid of both and have tires that can easily be ridden on most terrains.
So, if you take out an e-bike meant for the road but instead try to ride it on a rocky dirt trail, it won’t be easy!
Further, you might enjoy riding more if you can avoid large crowds of people or other fast-moving bikes or vehicles. Not only will you be more relaxed, but you also won’t worry as much about having to brake suddenly, especially since e-bikes are much larger, heavier, and more difficult to stop than a standard bike.
Riding an E-Bike is Easy Once You Learn How
In conclusion, yes, riding an electric bike is easy but somewhat different than riding a traditional bike. You just need to know how the electrical parts help you to ride, how to handle a heavier-than-normal bike, and how to ride in comfort.
But if you follow the 12 tips for beginners above, you’ll be pedaling around your city in no time.
How often do you go shopping and buy one-size-fits-all jeans or a T-shirt? Like women’s clothes, electric bikes should fit the rider like a comfortable pair of jeans.
So, when you’re looking for the perfect electric bike, you’re probably wondering, “What are the best electric bikes for women?” and “Which one makes sense for me”?
The best women’s electric bikes are from brands that cater to ladies’ sizes, practical needs, comfort, and style but don’t sacrifice power and features. These include electric cargo bikes, fat tire e-bikes, step-thru frames, hybrids, and cruisers built just for women or with a woman in mind.
Electric bikes for women often include smaller frames and ones that you can step through, an upright riding position, comfortable seats, cargo areas that carry children or groceries, and a greater variety of beautiful color options.
Some of the best women’s e-bikes can be found at brands including Rad Power Bikes, Sixthreezero, Blix, Trek, Bunch Bikes, Liv Cycling, and others.
To make e-bike shopping easy, I’ve made a comprehensive list of the electric bike brands and models that will meet your needs as a woman.
I’ve considered comfort, practicality, style, e-bike frame, and special features that women, like myself, are looking for.
Check out the best women’s electric bikes in the list below. Keep reading to get other important details for each model, learn how to get the perfect e-bike fit, and discover what you need to consider when buying the best electric bicycles for women.

What Is The Best Electric Bike for a Woman?
As a woman, you’re probably looking for an electric bike that is comfortable, easy to ride, and practical. Perhaps a little stylish. But you also want one that has the power to get you where you need to go!
The best women’s electric bike for you will be one that fits your body shape and size and meets your specific needs. Maybe an electric bike can help you commute to work, carry children or cargo, get exercise, and just have fun.
Riding Comfort
When looking for the best women’s electric bikes, pay attention to the seat size and density, handlebar reach, height of the top tube (standover height), and overall frame size. Getting the right fit will make a huge difference in your overall comfort while riding.
Seats should be plush and wide for long-distance riding comfort (an exception would be if you ride an electric mountain bike). If the e-bike doesn’t have the perfect saddle, you can replace it with something more suitable.
Find out more about getting the right fit below.
Commuting to Work or School
If you’re commuting to work, high school, or college, you’ll want an e-bike with a battery range that can easily handle the ride to and from, with potential detours along the way.
If your ride is 10 miles each way and your bike’s battery range maxes out at 20 miles, then you might not make it home. Further, you would need to pedal the entire time so the battery doesn’t discharge too quickly. It would be wise to buy an electric bike with double the range that you anticipate needing.
And, unless you want to carry a heavy backpack the whole way, you’ll definitely need a sturdy cargo rack. I’d suggest making sure to have one in the rear of the bike since it can typically carry more weight than a front rack. Also, added weight in the front of the bike can make it harder to balance and steer.
Finally, consider buying an e-bike with a throttle. It comes in handy when you need to get started up a hill or at a stoplight. Throttling will also make it easier to keep up with the traffic to cross the street. But keep in mind that using a throttle will drain your battery more quickly.
Family-Friendly
If you have small children to carry on your e-bike, then this is a top consideration.
Not only might you want a strong bike rack so that you can put a child seat on it, but you’ll also want a bike with good balance that you can control. This again comes down to finding the best fit (find your measurements below). For instance, if your legs are too short to stop the bike quickly, you won’t feel safe with your child on the back.
If you’re looking for the best electric bike for recreation or fitness, finding a woman’s e-bike that fits you (and you love riding) will help you ride more often and longer. Not only can you get great physical exercise on an e-bike, but your mental health can also improve.
Further, riding an electric bike with pedal assist can be easier on your joints and help you ride a bicycle again if you have injuries or disabilities.
E-Bike Style
Let’s face it… colors and style are important in the best women’s electric bikes… they help us enjoy ourselves more. Apparently, some electric bike brands have figured this out and offer fun styles and/or brighter and prettier frame colors (see the list).
You’ll also find e-bikes that are vintage or retro cruiser style. Or you may find one that looks fun or sleek. And, of course, you can typically add accessories that make riding even more pleasurable or practical.
For example, the electric bike brand SixThreeZero offers customizable panniers and bags that match your e-bike, like for the EVRYjourney Women’s!
How To Find Your Perfect E-Bike Frame Size
Even though all of the e-bikes listed in this article are either built specifically for women or have features women need, there is still quite a variety in electric bike sizes. So, don’t just assume you’re an XS because you’re a small woman. Getting the right fit is essential to your comfort, safety, and enjoyment.
You’ll need to consider the e-bike model’s geometry and your body measurements. To do this, take these simple steps to measure and fit an e-bike to your body:
Measure your inseam– This is the distance from the ground up the full length of the inside of your leg. When measuring, wear your typical riding shoes and stand up straight with your back against a wall and your feet shoulder-width apart.
This measurement will give your Inseam Length.
Now find the Standover Height on the e-bike model that you’re considering. You can typically find this under “Geometry” or Specifications” on the e-bike’s product page. Compare your inseam measurement (leg length) with the standover height to make sure you can stand over the top bar on the bicycle.
For many of the best women’s e-bikes, you’ll have a step-thru (or “low-step”) frame. In this case, you won’t have to worry about the standover height. Your bike should also have an adjustable seat post to help you get comfortable.
Next, compare your leg length to the minimum and maximum seat height (also listed on the e-bike product page). It should fall between the minimum/maximum seat height listed. If so, you can comfortably reach the pedals when seated on the bike and maintain a good riding position.
Then find the measurement for the e-bike’s Reach. This is the distance between your body and the handlebars. Measure your arm from the top of your shoulder to the knuckles of your fingers. This will tell you whether you can reach the handlebars from your seat position (based on the manufacturer’s size specifications).
You probably don’t need to worry about this if you have long arms. Further, adjustable handlebars will give you some wiggle room as well.
Measure Your Height. Once again, stand and put your back and heels against a wall… but this time without shoes on. Measure the distance from your heel (the floor) to the top of your head.
Many electric bike brands. will tell you what height range can typically fit on each model. Knowing this will help you confirm that you are buying an e-bike that will fit you.
But always use your standover height as your primary measurement when buying an electric bike online. You want to stand over your new e-bike comfortably!
So, by now you know there isn’t just one e-bike that’s right for female riders. There are many things to consider. Some considerations will be based on need while others will be based on personal preference.
Taken from the extensive list above, here are the best electric bikes for women. Check out the important specifications and special features. Additionally, discover who each e-bike model is best for.

One of the best folding e-bikes for women 4’10” to 5’10”, this is a cool e-bike with 20″ wheels that are 4″ wide, giving it the ability to handle a wider variety of terrain than an electric city or road bike (with the right tire pressure).
My personal experience: I’m a smaller-than-average e-bike rider (5’2″) and love my RadMini (predecessor to the RadExpand)! I’ve ridden it up to 40 miles in one day and only lost around 40% of my battery charge. So it can go a lot farther than 40 miles if you’re mostly pedaling.
